Can you ride the Continental Divide trail in an ATV?
The Continental Divide Trail is a hiking and horseback riding trail, and ATVs are not permitted on the trail. Additionally, motorized vehicles including ATVs are prohibited on many public lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the U.S. Forest Service (USFS). To protect natural resources and provide opportunities for non-motorized recreation, off-road vehicle (ORV) use is limited to designated trails, roads, and areas.
