1. Locate the manual release cable.
- The manual release cable is usually located in the interior of the trunk. Look for a small, black or gray plastic handle near the trunk latch.
2. Pull the manual release cable.
- Once you have located the manual release cable, pull on it to release the trunk.
3. Open the trunk.
- Once the trunk is released, you can open it by lifting the trunk lid.
Option 2: Jump-Start the Battery
1. Connect a jumper battery.
- Connect the positive terminal of the jumper battery to the positive terminal of the dead battery.
- Then connect the negative terminal of the jumper battery to the negative terminal of the dead battery.
2. Start the car with the good battery.
- Start the car with the good battery.
- Let it run for a few minutes to charge the dead battery.
3. Open the trunk.
- Once the dead battery has been charged, you can open the trunk using the key or the remote key fob.
