1. Locate the hood release lever. The lever is located on the driver's side floor, near the brake pedal.
2. Pull the hood release lever. This will release the hood from the latch.
3. Go to the front of the car and lift the hood. The hood will lift up and stay open on its own.
Here are some additional tips for opening the hood on a MINI Cooper:
* If the hood is not opening, make sure that the hood release lever is fully engaged.
* If the hood is still not opening, you may need to use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the hood open.
* Be careful not to drop the hood on yourself when it is open.
