How do you change the battery in a 2002 VW Beetle when see what is holding it place?

1. Open the hood of your Beetle.

2. Locate the battery. It is located in the front of the engine compartment, on the passenger side.

3. Identify the positive and negative terminals on the battery. The positive terminal is marked with a "+", and the negative terminal is marked with a "-".

4. Loosen the negative terminal clamp with a wrench. Be careful not to drop the bolt or nut into the battery compartment.

5. Pull the negative terminal wire off of the negative terminal.

6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the positive terminal.

7. Once both terminal wires are disconnected, you can lift the battery out of the battery compartment.

8. To install the new battery, simply reverse the steps above. Be sure to connect the positive terminal wire to the positive terminal, and the negative terminal wire to the negative terminal.

9. Tighten the terminal clamps securely.

10. Close the hood of your Beetle.
