What does it mean when the oil gauge says is low and light on but there enough in car?

Oil gauge says low but the car has enough oil:

Oil sensor failure: The oil sensor measures the oil level. When the sensor is damaged, it may provide incorrect information.

Oil pump issues: The oil pump sucks oil from the oil pan and circulates it through the engine. If the pump is faulty or damaged, it can't properly circulate the oil and may cause the oil gauge to show an incorrect level.

Clogged oil filter: If the oil filter is clogged, it can restrict the flow of oil and cause the gauge to give a false indication of low oil pressure.

Faulty wiring: Faults in the wiring system connecting the oil sensor and the gauge can lead to incorrect readings.

Other causes: Engine wear, leaks, or damage can affect oil pressure and trigger false low oil level indicators.
