Will 01 Chevy truck transmission fit a 97 truck?

No, a transmission from a 2001 Chevy truck will not fit a 1997 truck. The transmissions for the two trucks are different models and have different bolt patterns. Additionally, the 2001 transmission has an electronic control module (ECM) that is not compatible with the 1997 truck's wiring.
