1. Open the hood of the vehicle.
2. Locate the spark plug wires, which are connected to the spark plugs and run down to the distributor cap.
3. Remove the spark plug wires by grasping the rubber boot at the end of each wire and pulling it straight off of the spark plug.
4. Remove the bolts holding the distributor cap onto the engine and lift off the cap.
5. Remove the four spark plugs from the engine using a spark plug socket wrench and extension.
6. Be careful not to drop any of the spark plugs into the engine.
7. Screw the new spark plugs into place by hand until they are finger-tight.
8. Use the spark plug socket wrench and extension to tighten the spark plugs to 18 ft-lb.
9. Replace the distributor cap and bolts.
10. Reattach the spark plug wires to the spark plugs.
