Where is the coolant sensor on a 85 Corvette?

On an '85 Corvette, the coolant temperature sensor is usually located on the water pump body or on the thermostat housing, near where the upper radiator hose connects. It's a single-wire sensor that screws into the block and measures the temperature of the coolant flowing through it. On some models, the sensor may be located on the intake manifold near the thermostat housing, but this is much less common.
