To block the high side of the AC system, you will need:
- A set of Allen wrenches
- A 1/4-inch ratchet
- A 1/4-inch socket
- A pair of pliers
- A small amount of refrigerant oil
Instructions:
1. Locate the high-pressure service port on the AC system. It is usually located on the passenger side of the engine compartment.
2. Use the Allen wrench to remove the cap from the high-pressure service port.
3. Attach the 1/4-inch ratchet to the socket and turn it counterclockwise to loosen the Schrader valve core.
4. Pull the Schrader valve core out of the high-pressure service port with the pliers.
5. Apply a small amount of refrigerant oil to the tip of the Schrader valve core.
6. Insert the Schrader valve core back into the high-pressure service port and turn it clockwise to tighten it.
7. Replace the cap on the high-pressure service port.
This will block the high side of the AC system and prevent the refrigerant from leaking out. You will still be able to use the AC system, but it will not be as effective as it was before the leak.
You should have the leak repaired as soon as possible to avoid further damage to the AC system.
