1. Gather tools and materials:
Tools:
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Flat head screwdriver
Materials:
- Cabin air filter replacement (check your owner's manual for the correct size and type)
2. Locate the cabin air filter housing:
- The cabin air filter housing is located on the passenger side of the Jeep, behind the glove box.
3. Open the cabin air filter housing:
- To open the cabin air filter housing, remove the two screws on the top of the housing using the Phillips head screwdriver.
- Once the screws are removed, pull down on the housing to release it.
4. Remove the old cabin air filter:
- Pull out the old cabin air filter from the housing.
5. Clean the cabin air filter housing:
- Before inserting the new filter, take the time to clean the cabin air filter housing using a damp cloth.
6. Insert the new cabin air filter:
- Insert the new cabin air filter into the housing with the arrow facing down.
7. Reinstall the cabin air filter housing:
- Replace the cover of the housing on the Jeep and secure it using the two screws that were removed in step 2.
8. Test the cabin air flow:
- Turn on the ignition of the car, turn the fan on, and make sure that the air is flowing through the vents properly.
Your cabin air filter is now replaced.
