Instructions:
1. Park your car on a level surface and turn off the engine. Set the parking brake.
2. Locate the shift cable under the hood of your car. It is attached to the transmission and runs up to the shift lever.
3. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry off the plastic cover that holds the shift cable in place.
4. Use a 10mm socket and ratchet to loosen the bolts that hold the shift cable to the transmission.
5. Use pliers to disconnect the shift cable from the shift lever.
6. Remove the shift cable from the car.
7. Compare the new shift cable to the old one to ensure they are the same length and shape.
8. Connect the new shift cable to the shift lever and transmission.
9. Tighten the bolts that hold the shift cable in place.
10. Replace the plastic cover that holds the shift cable in place.
11. Start your car and test the shift cable to make sure it is working properly.
