- Check the fuse for the power door locks
- Check for a loose wire connection, or a faulty door lock switch
- Check the door lock actuator
Fuse:
- The fuse for the power door locks should be located in the fuse box on the driver's side of the vehicle.
Loose wire connections:
- To check for loose wire connections, use a multimeter to test for continuity between the door lock switch and the door lock actuator. If there is no continuity, then there may be a loose wire connection.
Faulty door lock switch:
- To check for a faulty door lock switch, use a multimeter to test the switch for continuity. If there is no continuity when the switch is pressed, then the switch is faulty.
Door Lock Actuator:
- To check the door lock actuator, apply 12 volts directly to the actuator. If the actuator does not lock or unlock the door, then it is faulty.
Note:
- If all of the above checks out, then the problem may be with the door lock control module. The door lock control module is located in the driver's door.
