* A ratchet
* A socket set
* A breaker bar
* A flat-head screwdriver
* A new drive belt
1. Park your car on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood of your car.
3. Locate the drive belt. It is a long, black belt that runs around the front of the engine.
4. Loosen the tensioner pulley bolt. The tensioner pulley is a small, round pulley that is located near the top of the engine.
5. Once the tensioner pulley bolt is loose, use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the tensioner pulley away from the belt.
6. Remove the old belt from the pulleys.
7. Check the pulleys and make sure that they are clean and free of debris.
8. Install the new belt on the pulleys. Start by routing the belt around the bottom pulley and then work your way up.
9. Make sure that the belt is properly seated in the grooves of the pulleys.
10. Tighten the tensioner pulley bolt.
11. Start the engine and check to make sure that the belt is running smoothly.
If the belt is running smoothly, you have successfully installed it.
