Tools and Materials:
- Replacement air filter (check owner's manual for the correct size)
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Clean rag or paper towels
Procedure:
1. Open the hood of your Ford Capri.
2. Locate the air filter housing. It is usually a rectangular plastic box with a black cover. It is located on the top of the engine, near the front of the car.
3. Remove the cover from the air filter housing. There are usually two screws that need to be removed.
4. Remove the old air filter from the housing. It is a rectangular piece of paper with a metal frame.
5. Clean the inside of the air filter housing with a rag or paper towels.
6. Install the new air filter into the housing. Make sure that the new air filter is properly seated in the housing.
7. Replace the cover of the air filter housing.
8. Tighten the screws that hold the cover in place.
9. Close the hood of your Ford Capri.
Tips:
- When changing the air filter, it is also a good idea to clean the inside of the air filter housing. This will help to improve the airflow to the engine and keep the engine running properly.
