1. Park the car on a level surface, facing a wall or garage door about 10 to 15 feet away.
2. Turn on the headlights and make sure they are set to low beam.
3. Open the hood of the car and locate the headlight adjustment screws on the back of the headlights. These are typically black plastic screws with a crosshead slot.
4. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to turn the headlight adjustment screws. Turning the screw clockwise will raise the headlight beam, while turning it counterclockwise will lower it.
5. Adjust the headlights so that the center of the beam is about 2 to 3 inches below the top of the wall or garage door.
6. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the other headlight.
7. Close the hood of the car and test the headlights to make sure they are properly aligned.
