- Flat-head screwdriver
- Phillips-head screwdriver
- 10mm socket wrench
- 1/4-inch ratchet
Instructions:
1. Disconnect the Battery:
- Open the hood of your car and locate the negative (black) battery terminal.
- Loosen the nut that holds the negative battery cable in place using the 10mm socket wrench and remove the cable from the battery terminal.
2. Remove the Glove Box:
- Open the glove box and remove its contents.
- Squeeze the tabs on both sides of the glove box to release it and pull it out.
3. Locate the Blower Motor:
- Look behind the glove box opening and you will see the blower motor housing.
4. Disconnect the Electrical Connectors:
- Locate the electrical connectors that are attached to the blower motor.
- Press the release tabs on the connectors and disconnect them.
5. Remove the Blower Motor Mounting Screws:
- Locate the screws that hold the blower motor in place.
- Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to remove these screws.
6. Remove the Blower Motor:
- Carefully remove the blower motor from its housing by pulling it towards you.
7. Install the New Blower Motor:
- Insert the new blower motor into its housing, aligning it with the mounting holes.
- Secure the blower motor in place using the screws that you removed earlier.
8. Reconnect the Electrical Connectors:
- Reconnect the electrical connectors to the blower motor by pressing them in until they click into place.
9. Replace the Glove Box:
- Slide the glove box back into its opening until it clicks into place.
10. Reconnect the Battery:
- Reattach the negative battery cable to the battery terminal and tighten the nut using the 10mm socket wrench.
11. Test the Blower Motor:
- Start your car and turn on the blower motor to make sure it's working properly.
