1. Locate the serpentine belt. It is a long, thin belt that runs around the front of the engine.
2. Loosen the tensioner pulley. This is a pulley that is located near the top of the engine. There is a bolt in the center of the pulley. Loosen this bolt until the belt loosens.
3. Remove the belt. Once the belt is loose, you can remove it by pulling it off of the pulleys.
4. Re-route the belt. Wrap the belt around the crankshaft pulley, water pump pulley, alternator pulley, and power steering pump pulley. Avoid the AC compressor pulley.
5. Tighten the tensioner pulley. Once the belt is re-routed, tighten the tensioner pulley bolt until the belt is snug.
