Where is the transmission pan on a ford probe?

1. Park your vehicle on level ground and apply the parking brake. Turn the engine off and allow it to cool down completely.

2. Find the transmission pan. The transmission pan is usually located at the bottom of the transmission, near the front of the vehicle. It is a flat, metal pan that is typically held in place by bolts or screws.

3. Locate the drain plug. The drain plug is typically located on the side of the transmission pan. It is usually a small, metal bolt or screw with a washer.

4. Place the drain pan under the drain plug. Make sure the drain pan is large enough to catch all of the fluid that will drain out of the transmission pan.

5. Loosen the drain plug. Use a wrench to loosen the drain plug. Be careful not to drop the drain plug into the transmission pan.

6. Allow the fluid to drain. Allow all of the fluid to drain out of the transmission pan. This may take a few minutes.

7. Retighten the drain plug. Once all of the fluid has drained out, retighten the drain plug. Be careful not to overtighten the drain plug.

8. Refill the transmission fluid. Use a funnel to refill the transmission fluid. The amount of fluid you need to add will depend on the type of transmission in your vehicle. Refer to your owner's manual for more information.

9. Check the transmission fluid level. Use the transmission fluid dipstick to check the transmission fluid level. The fluid level should be between the "Full" and "Add" marks on the dipstick.

10. Start the vehicle and check for leaks. Start the vehicle and let it run for a few minutes. Check for any leaks from the transmission pan. If you see any leaks, tighten the drain plug or bolts/screws until the leak stops.
