- Use a nylon pry tool to pop the trim panel loose from the surrounding dashboard assembly.
- Disconnect the turn signal hazard flasher switch.
Step 2: Remove the ash tray
- Slide the ashtray fully out from the dash board.
- Pry the back two ash tray retainer tabs up and out of their positions.
- Pull the ashtray straight out from the dash to release the front two retainer clips.
- Unclip the lighter plug from the back of the ashtray.
Step 3: Remove the radio bracket
- Remove the two phillips head screws at the top of the bracket.
- Push the back tabs back, then slide the bracket out of the dashboard.
Step 4: Remove the stereo.
- Use the factory keys or two metal coat hangers bent in the shape of a 'U' to slide into the holes on either side of the stereo and release it from the dashboard.
- Disconnect the wiring harnesses, radio antenna and antenna lead that remain, from the back of the stereo.
- Remove the stereo.

Step 5: Install the new stereo.

- Connect the wiring harnesses to the back of the new radio with the wire diagram to identify corresponding wires (use scotch locks or crimp caps).
- Connect the antenna lead and radio antenna to the back of the new stereo.
- Position the stereo in the dashboard.
- Slide the radio bracket over the stereo and fasten with two phillips head screws.
- Snap the trim panel back into place and reconnect the hazard switch.
- Clip in the lighter plug and slide the ashtray fully back into the dash board.
