How do you remove the dash board or instrument panel on a Ram pickup?

To remove the dashboard or instrument panel on a Ram pickup, you will need the following tools:

* Phillips head screwdriver

* Flat head screwdriver

* Socket wrench set

* Pliers

* Trim removal tool

1. Disconnect the battery. This is to prevent any electrical damage to the vehicle while you are working.

2. Remove the steering wheel. There are two screws on the back of the steering wheel that need to be removed. Once the screws are removed, you can pull the steering wheel straight off. Be careful not to drop it.

3. Remove the trim panels around the instrument cluster. There are four trim panels that need to be removed. Two are located on the left and right sides of the cluster, and two are located at the top and bottom. To remove the trim panels, pry them off gently with the trim removal tool.

4. Remove the instrument cluster. There are four screws that hold the instrument cluster in place. Remove these screws and then carefully pull the cluster straight out. Be careful not to damage any of the wiring.

5. Remove the center console. There are four screws that hold the center console in place. Remove these screws and then carefully pry the console up with the trim removal tool. Be careful not to damage any of the wiring.

6. Remove the radio. There are four screws that hold the radio in place. Remove these screws and then carefully pull the radio straight out. Be careful not to damage any of the wiring.

7. Remove the HVAC controls. There are four screws that hold the HVAC controls in place. Remove these screws and then carefully pull the controls straight out. Be careful not to damage any of the wiring.

8. Remove the instrument panel. There are several bolts that hold the instrument panel in place. Remove these bolts and then carefully pry the panel up with the trim removal tool. Be careful not to damage any of the wiring.

Once you have removed the instrument panel, you will have access to the instrument cluster, radio, HVAC controls, and other components. You can now replace or repair any of these components as needed.

To reinstall the instrument panel, simply follow the steps in reverse order.
