1) Use a putty knife to release the two tabs on the inner weatherstrip lining the trunk.
2) Peel the weatherstrip back enough to access the two 12 mm bolts that secure the base to the vehicle.
3) Remove the two 12 mm bolts.
4) Gently pull the assembly straight back until the five plastic push-pin fasteners release.
*Important: It may be helpful to wear gloves while removing the bulb housings to prevent injury from the sharp metal edges.*
