1. Park your vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Engage the parking brake and chock the wheels.
3. Crawl underneath the car and find the power steering pump.
4. Disconnect the hoses from the pump and plug them with bolts or caps to prevent fluid from leaking out.
5. Remove the mounting bracket bolts and take off the pump.
6. Install the new power steering pump and make sure that the hoses are properly connected. Then put back the bracket bolts.
7. Remove the chocks from your vehicle.
8. Start your vehicle and check the power steering fluid level. Add fluid if necessary.
9. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the left and then all the way to the right to bleed any air from the system.
