How do you remove 2010 Nissan Cube drivers side airbag?

Warning

- Always disconnect the battery before working on the airbag system to prevent accidental airbag deployment.

- The airbag module should be handled with care. Avoid dropping, bumping or rough handling the airbag module.

- Once the airbag module has been removed, it must be stored with its face and wiring connector pointing upwards to prevent damage.

- The airbag system should only be serviced by a qualified technician.

Here are the steps to remove the 2010 Nissan Cube drivers side airbag:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the steering wheel.

3. Remove the steering column cover.

4. Remove the airbag module.

Removing the Steering Wheel

1. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.

2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal cable.

3. Remove the two front steering column garnish screws.

4. Pull the steering column garnish off and set aside.

Remove the Steering Column Cover

1. Remove the screw on the bottom left-hand side of the steering column cover (near the parking break).

2. Remove the bottom left-hand screw behind the steering column.

3. Remove the 3 lower bolts that hold the steering column cover.

4. Remove the 2 upper bolts, but do not remove the cover.

5. Remove the connector at the bottom of the steering wheel to expose the airbag.

6. Pull down the steering column cover and set aside.

Removing the Airbag Module

1. Remove the two Torx bolts on the left and right sides of the steering wheel.

2. Press the release tab on the left and right sides of the airbag module.

3. Disconnect the steering wheel airbag harness connector to remove the steering wheel airbag module.

4. Connect the battery and reinstall the steering wheel and covers.
