2. Remove the old speedometer cable. To do this, you will need to access the speedometer cable from the instrument cluster in the passenger-side foot. Loosen the clamp holding the cable in place and pull it out of the housing.
3. Clean the old cable and housing. Use a wire brush to remove any dirt or debris from the cable and housing.
4. Apply lubricant to the new cable. Dip the cable into the lubricant included in the kit. You should apply a generous amount of lubricant so that the cable is fully coated.
5. Insert the new cable into the housing. Push the cable into the housing until it is fully seated.
6. Reattach the clamp. Use a screwdriver to tighten the clamp holding the cable in place.
7. Test the speedometer. Drive the vehicle and check to ensure the speedometer is working properly.
