1. Find Key Release Button
Locate the small black key release button on the back of the fob.
2. Press the Key Release Button
Press and hold the key release button. At the same time, gently pull on the metal key until it comes out of the fob.
3. Open Fob
Press down the small, silver button on the bottom of the fob and pull the two halves of the fob apart, taking care not to detach the circuit board.
4. Remove the Battery
Use a small flat-head screwdriver to pry the old battery out of its compartment.
5. Insert New Battery
Insert a new CR-2032 battery into the compartment, positive side facing up, making sure the battery is secured snugly in the compartment.
6. Close the Fob
Align the two halves of the fob and snap them back together.
7. Test the Fob
Press the lock and unlock buttons to make sure the new battery is working correctly.
_Note: For some Honda Odyssey key fobs, you may be able to skip step 2 (Press the Key Release Button), and simply pry the fob open with your fingers._
