2. Remove the drain plug and allow the oil to drain completely.
3. Replace the oil drain plug.
4. Locate the oil filter on the top of the engine, near the back of the engine bay.
5. Use an oil filter wrench to loosen the oil filter. Be careful not to spill any oil.
6. Remove the oil filter. Dispose of the used filter properly.
7. Apply a thin coat of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.
8. Screw on the new oil filter until it is snug. Do not over-tighten the oil filter. Fill the engine with the correct type and amount of oil.
9. Ensure that the oil level is full on the dipstick.
