Gather the necessary materials:
- A new CR-2032 coin cell battery (3-volt lithium battery).
- A small flat-head screwdriver or a plastic prying tool.
Instruction:
1. Remove the key blade: Press the small button located on the side of the key fob to release the key blade.
2. Pry open the key fob: Insert the flat-head screwdriver or the plastic prying tool into the small slot at the bottom of the key fob. Gently pry the case apart until it comes apart into two halves.
3. Locate the old battery: The battery will be located inside one of the halves of the key fob. It is usually held in place by a metal clip or a small plastic retainer.
4. Remove the old battery: Use your fingers or tweezers to carefully remove the old battery from its compartment. Be sure not to touch the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals of the battery with your fingers.
5. Insert the new battery: Make sure to insert the new battery in the correct orientation, with the positive (+) side facing up.
6. Reassemble the key fob: Put the two halves of the key fob back together and press them firmly together until they click into place.
7. Test the key fob: Press the lock or unlock button on the key fob to ensure that it is working properly.
8. Replace the key blade: Insert the key blade back into the key fob until it clicks into place.
