How do you replac fuel injectors on a 1985 Nissan Stanza wagon?

Tools Needed:

- Phillips head screwdriver

- Flat head screwdriver

- 17mm wrench

- 14mm wrench

- Socket set

- Pliers

- Injector removal tool (optional)

Instructions:

1. Disconnect the battery. This is always the first step when working on any electrical system. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to prevent any accidental sparks or shorts.

2. Remove the air filter housing. The air filter housing is located on the top of the engine, just behind the throttle body. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to loosen the hose clamp that connects the air filter housing to the throttle body. Then, use a flat head screwdriver to pry the air filter housing up and off of the throttle body.

3. Locate the fuel injectors. The fuel injectors are located on the top of the engine, just below the intake manifold. There are four fuel injectors, one for each cylinder.

4. Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel injectors. Use a 17mm wrench to loosen the nuts that hold the fuel lines to the fuel injectors. Then, use a flat head screwdriver to pry the fuel lines up and off of the fuel injectors.

5. Remove the electrical connectors from the fuel injectors. Use a 14mm wrench to loosen the nuts that hold the electrical connectors to the fuel injectors. Then, use a flat head screwdriver to pry the electrical connectors up and off of the fuel injectors.

6. Remove the fuel injectors from the engine. Use a socket set to loosen the nuts that hold the fuel injectors to the engine. Then, use an injector removal tool (or a pry bar) to pry the fuel injectors up and out of the engine.

7. Install the new fuel injectors. Once you have removed the old fuel injectors, you can install the new ones. Simply reverse the steps that you took to remove the old fuel injectors.

8. Reconnect the electrical connectors and fuel lines. Make sure that the electrical connectors and fuel lines are properly connected before you start the engine.

Tips:

- Replace fuel injectors one at a time to avoid mix ups.

- Be sure to use new gaskets and O-rings when installing new fuel injectors.
