Many Nissan vehicles built before 2005 are equipped with a fuel inertia switch. This switch is designed to shut off the flow of fuel in the event of an accident. If your 1996 Nissan Sentra has no fuel pressure, the fuel inertia switch may have been triggered.
The Fuel inertia switch is usually located:
- Under the rear passenger seat
- Behind a small access panel in the truck of the car
If you find the fuel inertia switch has tripped, simply press or reset the button to re-enable the fuel flow. Then check your fuel pressure.
Other Possible Causes:
- Faulty fuel pump
- Clogged fuel filter
- Faulty fuel pressure regulator
