Step 1 Turn on the ignition, but don't start the engine.
Step 2 Press and hold the 0.0 button on your trip computer for at least 5 seconds.
Step 3 While still holding the 0.0 button, press and hold the odometer button on your trip computer for at least 5 seconds.
Step 4 Release both the 0.0 and odometer buttons simultaneously.
Step 5 Verify the brake light indicator has reset.
Note: If the brake light indicator does not reset after following these steps, there may be an underlying issue with your vehicle that requires further attention from a qualified automotive technician.
