Where is the oil filter on a 2007 Toyota Tacoma?

2007 Toyota Tacoma 2.7L 4-Cylinder Engine:

1. Locate the oil filter housing on the front of the engine. It's a black cylindrical-shaped component with an oil filter cap on top.

2. Place an oil drain pan under the oil filter housing to catch any dripping oil.

3. Remove the oil filter cap by turning it counterclockwise. Be careful not to spill any oil.

4. Remove the old oil filter by turning it counterclockwise.

5. Apply a thin coat of new engine oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.

6. Screw the new oil filter onto the oil filter housing until it's snug. Do not over-tighten.

7. Replace the oil filter cap and turn it clockwise until it's snug.

2007 Toyota Tacoma 4.0L V6 Engine:

1. Locate the oil filter on the passenger side of the engine, near the bottom. It's a cylindrical-shaped component with an oil filter cap on top.

2. Place an oil drain pan under the oil filter to catch any dripping oil.

3. Remove the oil filter cap by turning it counterclockwise. Be careful not to spill any oil.

4. Remove the old oil filter by turning it counterclockwise.

5. Apply a thin coat of new engine oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.

6. Screw the new oil filter onto the oil filter housing until it's snug. Do not over-tighten.

7. Replace the oil filter cap and turn it clockwise until it's snug.
