1. Locate the throttle lever on your mower. It's usually a black or silver lever near the carburetor.
2. Move the throttle lever to the "FAST" position.
3. Start the engine and let it warm up.
4. Use a screwdriver to adjust the idle speed screw. The idle speed screw is usually located on the side of the carburetor, near the throttle lever.
5. Turn the screw clockwise to increase the idle speed, and turn it counterclockwise to decrease the idle speed.
6. Adjust the idle speed until the engine runs smoothly without stalling.
7. Once the idle speed is set, move the throttle lever back to the "SLOW" position. The engine should now run at the correct speed for mowing.
Note: If the engine is still revving too high or low after making these adjustments, you may need to clean the carburetor or replace the air filter.
