1. Make sure the vehicle is parked and the ignition is turned off.
2. Open the glove compartment.
3. Locate the "Passenger Airbag On/Off" switch. It is typically located on the left side of the glove compartment.
4. Press the switch to the "Off" position.
5. Close the glove compartment.
The passenger side airbag is now turned off.
*Note:* The passenger side airbag should only be turned off if a child seat is installed in the passenger seat. To avoid accidental deployment of the airbag, keep all objects out of the path of the airbag's inflation zone, which includes the area in front of the passenger seat and the area above the glove compartment.
