1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Raise and support the front of the truck.
3. Remove the fan shroud.
4. Remove the serpentine drive belt.
5. Remove the four bolts holding the water pump to the engine.
6. Lift the water pump from the engine.
7. Remove the gasket between the water pump and the engine.
To install a water pump:
1. Apply a thin coat of silicone sealant to the gasket mating surfaces of the water pump.
2. Position the water pump in place and install the four bolts.
3. Tighten the bolts in a crisscross pattern until they are snug.
4. Install the serpentine drive belt.
5. Install the fan shroud.
6. Lower and remove the front of the truck.
7. Reconnect the battery negative terminal.
