1. Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes to warm up the transmission fluid.
2. Turn off the engine and wait a few minutes to allow the fluid to settle down.
3. Open the hood and locate the transmission fluid dipstick. It is usually marked with a bright orange or red handle.
4. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean with a rag.
5. Reinsert the dipstick into the transmission fluid dipstick tube until it is fully seated.
6. Pull out the dipstick again and check the fluid level. It should be between the "FULL" and "ADD" marks on the dipstick.
7. If the fluid level is low, add the recommended type of transmission fluid through the dipstick tube until the fluid level reaches the "FULL" mark.
8. Reinsert the dipstick and make sure it is fully seated.
Note: It is important to check the transmission fluid level regularly to ensure that the transmission is operating properly. If the fluid level is consistently low, there may be a leak in the transmission system that needs to be addressed.
