How do you replace the battery in a 2001 Chrysler Concorde?

Disconnect the negative battery terminal cable.

Before working on the battery, disconnect the negative battery terminal cable. This is important because it will prevent any sparks or electrical shock.

Locate the battery.

The battery is located in the trunk of the vehicle. It will be under the carpet, near the rear seat.

Remove the battery cover.

Remove the battery cover by unscrewing the two bolts that hold it in place.

Disconnect the positive and negative battery cables.

Disconnect the positive and negative battery cables by unscrewing the nuts that hold them in place.

Remove the old battery.

Lift the old battery out of the vehicle.

Install the new battery.

Place the new battery in the vehicle. Make sure that the positive terminal is facing the positive terminal on the battery.

Connect the positive and negative battery cables.

Reconnect the positive and negative battery cables. Tighten the nuts that hold them in place.

Replace the battery cover.

Replace the battery cover and screw the bolts back in place.

Connect the negative battery terminal cable.

Finally, reconnect the negative battery terminal cable.
