1. Open the hood.
2. Locate the battery in the engine compartment on the passenger side.
3. The battery is held in place by a plastic cover. Unlatch the plastic cover and remove it to access the battery.
4. Once the plastic cover is removed, the battery terminals can be seen. To remove the battery, turn the negative battery cable counterclockwise with a 10mm wrench until the cable bracket comes off of the negative battery terminal. Then, turn the positive battery cable counterclockwise with a 10mm wrench until the cable bracket comes off of the positive battery terminal.
5. After both battery cables have been removed, the battery can be lifted out of the engine compartment.
