1. Park your vehicle on a level surface.
- Allow the engine to cool down.
2. Locate the drain plug.
- It is located on the bottom of the radiator, on the driver's side.
- It is a plastic plug with a 17mm head.
3. Place a drain pan under the drain plug.
- Make sure the pan is large enough to catch all of the coolant that will drain out.
4. Loosen the drain plug.
- Use a 17mm wrench to loosen the drain plug.
- Be careful not to drop the drain plug into the drain pan.
5. Allow the coolant to drain.
- Allow all of the coolant to drain out of the radiator.
- This may take a few minutes.
6. Reinstall the drain plug.
- Once all of the coolant has drained out, reinstall the drain plug.
- Tighten the drain plug until it is snug.
