Turn off the battery and disconnect the negative terminal.
1. Remove the trim pieces around the dashboard. This includes the instrument cluster bezel, radio surround, and glove compartment door.
2. Remove the steering wheel. To do this, you will need to pry off the center cover, remove the bolts holding the steering wheel in place, and then pull the steering wheel off of the steering column.
3. Remove the instrument cluster. To do this, you will need to remove the four screws holding the cluster in place and then disconnect the electrical connectors.
4. Remove the radio. To do this, you will need to remove the four screws holding the radio in place and then disconnect the electrical connectors.
5. Remove the heater control panel. To do this, you will need to remove the two screws holding the panel in place and then disconnect the electrical connectors.
6. Drop the steering column. To do this, loosen the bolts holding the column in place, then lower it to the floor.
7. Remove the bolts that secure the dashboard to the firewall.
8. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the dashboard.
9. Carefully remove the dashboard from the vehicle. Be sure to support the dashboard as you remove it to prevent it from falling and causing damage.
Here are some tips for removing the dashboard without damage:
* Use a plastic pry bar to remove the trim pieces. This will help to prevent damage to the trim pieces.
* Be careful not to drop the steering wheel. If you drop the steering wheel, it could damage the steering column.
* Disconnect the electrical connectors carefully. If you break a connector, it will be difficult to reconnect it.
* Support the dashboard as you remove it. If you drop the dashboard, it could cause damage to the dashboard or other components in the vehicle.
