Once you have gathered the necessary tools, follow these steps:
1. Park the car in a safe location and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood of the car.
3. Locate the belt tensioner. It is located on the front of the engine, near the top. It is a black plastic part with a spring-loaded arm.
4. Insert the 15mm socket wrench into the tensioner bolt.
5. Turn the tensioner bolt counterclockwise until the tension is released.
6. Once the tension is released, you can remove the belt from the pulleys.
7. To reinstall the belt, simply reverse the steps above.
Tips:
- Be careful not to over-tighten the tensioner bolt. This can damage the belt.
- If you are having difficulty removing the belt, you may need to use a breaker bar.
