Step 1: Battery Connection
1. Locate the battery in your Dodge Wayfarer. It is usually positioned in the engine bay.
2. Clean the battery terminals and cable ends to remove any corrosion or dirt.
3. Connect the positive battery cable (marked with a "+" symbol) to the positive terminal of the battery. Tighten the cable clamp securely.
Step 2: Coil Connection
4. Identify the ignition coil in the engine bay. The coil is a cylindrical component with two terminals.

8. Ensure that the engine block is properly grounded to the battery. Check the existing ground cable or strap for any corrosion or damage. Clean and repair or replace as necessary.
Step 4: Testing
9. Turn on the ignition switch and check if the ignition coil is getting power. Use a voltmeter or test light to measure the voltage at the positive and negative terminals of the coil. You should read battery voltage on both terminals when the ignition switch is turned on.
Step 5: Reinstallation
10. Once all connections are made and you have confirmed proper voltage readings, reinstall the battery cover or any removed components.
Caution: Positive ground electrical systems may operate differently compared to negative ground systems. Check the owner's manual or consult with a qualified mechanic to verify the correct connections and procedures before performing any electrical work on your vehicle.
