How do you replace the battery on a 1996 Aurora Oldsmobile?

1. Open the hood and locate the battery. It is typically in the engine compartment near the front-left corner of the vehicle.

2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal using a 10mm wrench.

3. Disconnect the positive battery terminal using a 10mm wrench.

4. Remove the battery hold-down clamp using a 10mm wrench.

5. Lift the battery from the vehicle.

6. Clean the battery terminals and contact points on the vehicle with a wire brush.

7. Reverse steps 4, 3, and 2 to install the new battery. Be sure to connect the positive battery terminal first, then the negative terminal.

8. Tighten the battery terminal bolts until they are snug.

9. Close the hood.
