What do you if a truck will not start because there is no spark but changed the coil and cap plugs?

1. Check the ignition switch:

- Use a multimeter to check the voltage at the ignition switch connector. There should be 12 volts when the key is turned to the "On" position.

- If there's no voltage, the ignition switch may be faulty and will need to be replaced.

2. Check the battery:

- Check the battery voltage with a multimeter. A fully charged battery should read around 12.6 volts.

- If the voltage is low, charge or replace the battery. A weak battery can cause a lack of spark.

3. Check the starter solenoid:

- Locate the starter solenoid on the starter motor.

- Use a multimeter to check the voltage at the solenoid connector. There should be 12 volts when the key is turned to the "Start" position.

- If there's no voltage, the starter solenoid may be faulty and will need to be replaced.

4. Check the ignition wires:

- Check the ignition wires for any signs of damage, such as cracks or breaks.

- Replace damaged wires.

- Make sure the wires are connected to the correct terminals on the coil and distributor.

5. Check the fuel pump:

- Listen for the fuel pump to run when the key is turned to the "On" position.

- If the fuel pump doesn't run, it may be faulty and will need to be replaced.

6. Check the fuel pressure:

- Use a fuel pressure gauge to check the fuel pressure.

- The fuel pressure should be within the specifications provided in your vehicle's manual.

- If the fuel pressure is too low, the fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator may be faulty.
