How do you start a Mercedes Benz 190e after battery went dead?

To start a Mercedes-Benz 190E after the battery has gone dead, you will need a set of jumper cables and another vehicle with a working battery. Follow these steps:

1. Park the other vehicle close to the 190E, ensuring that the vehicle hoods face each other. Ensure the vehicles do not touch.

2. Turn off the ignition of both vehicles.

3. Open the hoods of both vehicles.

4. Locate the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals on both car batteries. The positive terminal is usually marked with a "+" sign and is red, while the negative terminal is marked with a "-" sign and is black.

5. Connect one end of the red jumper cable to the positive terminal (+) on the dead battery of the 190E. Connect the other end to the positive terminal (+) of the working battery on the other vehicle.

6. Connect one end of the black jumper cable to the negative terminal (-) of the working battery on the other vehicle. Connect the other end to an unpainted metal surface on the 190E, away from the battery. Do not connect directly to the negative terminal of the dead battery.

7. Start the working vehicle and let it run for a few minutes. This will charge the dead battery in the 190E.

8. Try to start the 190E. If it starts successfully, leave it running for a few more minutes to further charge the battery.

9. Once the 190E is running steadily, carefully disconnect the jumper cables in the reverse order that you connected them: black cable first, then red cable.

10. Close the hoods of both vehicles.

11. Let the 190E run for a while before turning it off. This will help recharge the battery.

Remember that jump-starting should be temporary. If the battery in the 190E continues to go dead, it's advisable to have it tested and replaced if necessary.
