1. Park your vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Locate the oil filter housing. It is located on the driver's side of the engine, near the bottom.
3. Place an oil pan under the oil filter housing to catch any dripping oil.
4. Use an oil filter wrench to loosen the oil filter. Be careful not to spill any oil.
5. Remove the oil filter from the housing. Be sure to check the old oil filter for any damage or debris.
6. Apply a thin coat of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.
7. Screw the new oil filter onto the housing until it is snug. Do not over-tighten the oil filter.
8. Add new oil to the engine. The amount of oil you need to add will depend on the engine size. Please refer to your owner's manual for the correct amount of oil.
9. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check for any leaks.
10. Turn off the engine and check the oil level. The oil level should be between the "full" and "add" marks on the dipstick.
