1. Locate the power steering reservoir. It is usually located on the passenger side of the engine compartment, near the firewall.
2. Remove the reservoir cap.
3. Place a drain pan under the reservoir.
4. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. This will help to circulate the fluid and make it easier to drain.
5. Turn off the engine and allow the fluid to drain into the pan.
6. Once the fluid has drained, replace the reservoir cap.
Note: Be sure to check the power steering fluid level after draining and refilling the reservoir. The fluid level should be between the "FULL" and "ADD" marks on the reservoir dipstick.
If you are having trouble draining the power steering fluid, you may need to remove the power steering pump. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the power steering hoses from the pump.
2. Remove the bolts that hold the pump in place.
3. Lift the pump out of the engine compartment.
4. Once the pump is removed, you can drain the fluid from the reservoir.
5. Reinstall the pump and reconnect the power steering hoses.
6. Check the power steering fluid level and add fluid if necessary.
