1. Park the car on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
2. Loosen the lug nuts on the rear wheels, but do not remove them completely.
3. Jack up the rear of the car until the wheels are off the ground.
4. Remove the lug nuts and take off the rear wheels.
5. Locate the brake caliper on the back of the wheel hub.
6. Use a wrench to loosen the two bolts that hold the brake caliper in place.
7. Once the bolts are loose, remove the caliper from the wheel hub.
8. Remove the old brake pads from the caliper.
9. Inspect the caliper and rotor for damage. If either are damaged, they will need to be replaced.
10. Install the new brake pads into the caliper.
11. Reattach the caliper to the wheel hub and tighten the bolts.
12. Put the wheels back on and tighten the lug nuts.
13. Lower the car back to the ground and remove the jack.
14. Test the brakes by pressing the brake pedal several times before driving the car.
