To replace the brake light switch, you will need the following tools:
- A ratchet
- A socket set
- A screwdriver
Instructions:
1. Open the hood of your truck and locate the master cylinder. It is a round, metal cylinder with a black cap on it.
2. Disconnect the two wires from the brake light switch.
3. Use the ratchet and socket to loosen the two nuts that hold the switch in place.
4. Remove the switch from the master cylinder.
5. Apply a small amount of grease to the threads of the new switch and gasket.
6. Insert the new switch into the master cylinder and tighten the two nuts.
7. Reconnect the two wires to the switch.
8. Test the brake lights to make sure they are working properly.
