1. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position. Press and hold the alarm off button for 3-5 seconds.
2. Find the alarm siren, which is usually located in the engine compartment or under the front seat. Look for a small, black box with a wire leading to it.
3. Disconnect the alarm system battery. Locate the battery for your car alarm system and disconnect the positive and negative leads.
4. Disconnect the wires leading to the siren. Once you have found the siren, disconnect the wires leading to it. This will stop the siren from sounding.
5. Some alarm systems have a valet mode that can be activated by turning the ignition key to the "ON" position and then pressing and releasing the alarm off button 3-5 times. This will temporarily deactivate the alarm.
6. Press the "unlock" button on your remote key fob.
If the alarm still doesn't turn off, you may need to take your vehicle to a mechanic to have the alarm system inspected and repaired.
