1. Locate the fuel filter.
- The fuel filter is located under the vehicle, near the rear axle. It is a cylindrical-shaped component with two fuel lines connected to it.
2. Disconnect the fuel lines.
- Use a wrench to loosen the fuel line nuts. Be careful not to spill any fuel.
3. Remove the fuel filter bracket.
- Remove the bolts that hold the fuel filter bracket in place.
4. Remove the fuel filter.
- Remove the fuel filter from the bracket.
5. Install the new fuel filter.
- Insert the new fuel filter into the bracket.
- Reinstall the fuel filter bracket and tighten the bolts.
6. Reconnect the fuel lines.
- Reattach the fuel lines to the fuel filter and tighten the nuts.
7. Start the engine and check for leaks.
- Start the engine and check for any fuel leaks. If there are no leaks, the fuel filter replacement is complete.
